If You So Disagree With The Minimum Wage View, Then?

As some of you have, both here and privately …

What then would you directly suggest/offer to Business in order that such unfortunate mandated disincentive wage proposals might be a bit more palatable and viable?

Practical and Workable Ideas that might create a Win-Win for both employers and employees?

What are the incentives to make it viable for both sides of the economic formula.

Given that the major concerns for such proposals are generally: the very real morbid financial drag on Business; the subsequent fear of disemployment of Workers, and the apparent resultant drain on our Economy, what then do YOU suggest to make Work, work, and be economically invigorating?

How about proposing a town hall meeting at the AG Library or some meeting hall? Invite the 75 to 120 people who show up to give their ideas...

Should be a lot better input than any guy posting comments on a blog. You would meet the people who work for a living, blue/white collar.

They have a lot of experience and knowledge to add to this discussion. Facts, figures, etc.

A very good idea, and as we continue forth, we will be actively doing just that, again.

I have done so, in the past, and find them to be very fun, and very informative for all. I applaud your idea.

When we do them again, I would hope that you would come, and bring any interested people.

However,in the meantime, perhaps you could point them, or others to this blog, and we could learn of their concerns and input.

Currently this is the most efficient method to interact.

If you live anywhere need Oxnard, our next presentation is there, this month.

Thank You for your input.

Have Politicians in the South or North West, been powerless, or are they Cruel Salesmen of Constituents in South and North West or Southern or North Western Politicians doubling as ignoramuses?

This man, Lord Keynes, is surely much wiser then many Politicians who have either sold themselves to the Corporate Powers in the North East US, by Ignorance of Economics or by Desire to sell their Constituents to the North Eastern Corporate Powers, amen.

"Practical men, who believe themselves to be quite exempt from any intellectual influences, are usually the slaves of some defunct economist.”

-- Lord Keynes (1883-1946)

Not sure what this is about “Tres Cee”? But I DO think I get the quote in general, unless it is intended for me personally?

AND NEXT ... TRES CEE SAID ...

Again, I generally agree with your points made herein. Not so sure about castigating the entire National Academy of Sciences?

I find their work often to be very helpful. As to their political manifestations, I would agree, that while necessary for their survival (I am sure.), I don’t know if I would always agree with their bent.

That their politics are self serving is little different, seemingly, from any one else’s politics?

As to Congressman, Jay Inslee (D-WA). (A committed Democrat from Bainbridge Washington, who happens to serve on the Energy and Commerce Committee with my friend Lois Capps.)

Jay Inslee(Is this the man you saw?)

If it is in fact he you refer to above. I must apologize as I am not sure, exactly what issue was touted that you are referring to? I am sure though, that very few of them, I would agree with.

If You would describe it here, we could talk about it, if it was important?

But, I do know, that most recently, he along with other vocal Democrats, Pelosi , et al -- have been continually trying to introduce a Resolution of Inquiry “calling on the White House and other Bush agencies to produce any and all documents relating to the outing of a covert CIA agent.

Perhaps, it is he you refer to, when you say: “quite exempt from any intellectual influences”, if so, I would agree with you, on that. Out of context or not. But then I would feel that way about many of our representatives, as well.

Thank You
